LAST WORD Play

Terms of Use

Last updated 11 October 2026

These are the ground rules for playing Last Word. They are short on purpose.

1. Agreement

By playing Last Word or using this site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the game. The game is run by eveninglight.dev (“we”).

2. The game

Last Word is a free game provided for fun. We may change it, pause it, reset parts of it or shut it down at any time, for example to fix problems or to keep it fair.

3. Your name and account

4. Fair play

Do not:

If we think the rules are broken, we may remove games, reset trophies, or suspend or delete accounts, with or without notice.

5. Trophies and ranks

Trophies, ranks and leaderboard places are for fun. They have no cash value and we may adjust or reset them, for instance after a bug or to change the scoring.

6. Computer opponents

Some opponents are computer players. They are labelled as such. A game you accept from the queue against a computer opponent is a normal ranked game, while Practice games are not ranked. Computer opponents are not shown on the trophy leaderboard.

7. Words and meanings

The word list and meanings come from third-party sources (see credits) and may be incomplete or wrong. If the game does not accept a word, it is not on our word list, even if you believe it is a real word. Meanings are for information only.

8. Your content

The only content you create is your player name and your moves. You allow us to store and show them in the game, on the leaderboards and in game records, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your name.

9. Intellectual property

The game, its design and its code belong to eveninglight.dev or its licensors. Third-party data keeps its own licence. You may play and share links to the game, but you may not copy the site, or scrape it at a scale that harms it.

10. No warranty

The game is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will always work, be error-free, or keep your progress. A game can be lost to a bad connection or a server restart.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have by law that cannot be limited.

12. Changes and ending

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the game after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the game at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.

13. Contact
